Disclaimer:
In my professional life, I am a web designer, system administrator and web master for numerous commercial Internet web sites and web servers, including those operated by Main Street Mall Online (http://www.mainstreetmallonline.com). I am a senior partner in a web design company (Our Hutch Web Services). My wife Lora and I operate additional online businesses including selling on eBay from time to time where we have been Power Sellers. In addition I provide various consulting services and teach HTML via an on line course. I create eBay listing templates, me pages, store fronts, logos and other graphics for other eBay sellers.
On the eBay chat boards, I offer free help with HTML coding and some graphics. I am known there as 'the wiz' or just 'wiz'. I am not an eBay emplyee nor am I in any way affiliated with eBay other than as a buyer and seller.
All help offered on the boards is offered privately, outside of my professional position, and without expectation of fee or payment of any kind. All links provided are to sites believed to be suitable as examples of solutions to the issue(s) posed in the original poster's question(s). No intent to sell or contract in any manner exists nor is such implied nor should it be inferred. This site is supported by advertisers and donations and I encourage you to check out the various links (and banners) on the various pages here. I only accept sponsors that I personally know and trust so you should feel free to deal with any of them but there is no obligation or presure to purchase any product or service or to deal with these sponsors in any other way.
Any offer made on the chat board to compose HTML code, edit or create a graphic or provide any other such (or related) service, although it may be the same as, or similar to, the work as I would otherwise do professionally, is made without expectation of fee or payment of any kind, and is done so in the capacity of my personal offer to help or assist the original poster of the thread, and not in my capacity as an Internet service professional -- although my experience and ability cannot be separated.
The underlying code to any page used as an example in the solution to the issue raised by the original poster of the thread in which I respond, and to which I hold copyright, may be freely examined and the relevant code section copied by the original poster for use in, or as part of, the solution to the question posed. Access to this code, by the original poster, is also offered without expectation of payment or fee of any kind. Note that this is not a general offer to anyone who reads my posts or visits this site. If you are other than the original poster of a thread in which I respond and you wish to also use/copy code from my answers or this site, please ask.
I do accept both financial and 'in kind' donations which help keep my HTML Help site running and sometimes those who I help do send me gifts that I gratefully accept. Operating and maintaining a site like this is a costly undertaking, both in time and resources (including money!), and I do appreciate the help offered.
I am always glad to point people in the right direction and offer HTML help so they can learn how to do things on their own, however, when a direct e-mail contact goes beyond the level of simple 'help' on a given point and becomes a request to create the full code for an actual solution, an entire page, template, web site or unique piece of code for a special purpose, then this becomes 'work' and not just 'help'... and work I charge for, and I will quote my current rate. You are, of course, free to reject any such quotation at any time.
Sincerely,
Stephen B. Henry.
